Created and directed by radical choreographer Erin Kilmurray, The Fly Honeys are a fierce group of choreographers, dancers, musicians, actors, designers and performance artists who foster a safe space for advancing gender equality and promoting self-love.

LEELA is a collaborative project that celebrates the feminine divine through timeless Indian classical performance traditions. Their stories uncover, subvert and recontextualize ancient stories of feminine love, sexuality and ecstacy.

Bea Cordelia is an award-winning & often naked performance artist who works around themes of queerness, trans, gender, sex & the body.

The Ricky Harris is happy to be performing with The Fly Honey Show this year. The Ricky can be found all over the city of Chicago performing at various venues and bringing Black Faces to All Spaces!

Current project: Musical Director/Pianist for the remounted Jeff Award winner of Best Ensemble production of "Direct from Deathrow: The Scottsboro Boys' at Raven Theatre through August 28th.

Sierra is a Chicago based artist with a heart of gold. A member of The Inconvenience, she is known as an illustrator, musician, and a giver of high fives. 


Sarah Sherman • WEEKEND TWo

Sarah's work has been described as the "Pee Wee's Playhouse of Gore", as she incorporates the grotesque, the absurd, (and sometimes even a bag of her own pubes) in her stand-up.

Though females were said to be physically incapable of playing Taiko, Aurora is honored to beat on those drums with her Aunt Patti and cousin Emi at The Fly Honey Show.

KATE HEALY is a writer, model, performer, host and creative producer. Her new favorite thing is blending poetry with performance art and seeing what happens.   

EMMA CASEY is a writer/performer from Chicago. She is inspired by the lovely strangeness that is every day and requires a second glance to make sense of.

ANNA HOLMQUIST is almost done making her first full-length album and performs around the city with The Curls and Cold Country. 

ANGEL KATZ: 'Lyrically I don't hold back. I sing and rap lyrics laced with magick, fierceness and sexual prowess.

MCKENZIE CHINN is a woke-ass actor/writer who spends most of her time building a tribe of like-minded artists/activists to make work with and spark the revolution (which will not be televised).


sojourner zenobia • WEEKEND THREE

Sojourners artistic process uses poetic narrative, movement and voice to explore the intersection of spirituality i.e. prayer, energy work, alter building, channeling and performance. Sojourner facilitates ritual, specifically centering love and the brown body. For the past 3 years she has guided a beautiful and flourishing bi-monthly meditation for women and femmes of color. She is a storyteller for the Chicago Folklore Ensemble and performs her transformative solo works at events all over Chicago.

Artist. Educator. Mother. (in no particular order). This work is for me and my daughter. All the hopes of creating a better space to exist and grow in

heidi coleman • SEPTEMBER 2 ONLY

Heidi Coleman is the Director of Undergraduate Studies and Performance Programs for Theater and Performance Studies at University of Chicago, as well as founder of Chicago Performance Labs. She has worked as a director and dramaturg in New York City and San Francisco as well as Chicago. She has collaborated with Anne Bogart, Andrei Serban, Tina Landau, Frank Galati and Tony Kushner; taught in Columbia University's Theatre MFA and English departments; and most recently participated in Steppenwolf's First Look series. At UofC, Heidi continuously participates in arts initiatives including the planning and completion of the Reva and David Logan Arts Center. Her work focuses on the integration of theory and practice, both in artistic and programmatic arenas, with a lifelong dedication to new work development.
